Modern Arnis is the style of Filipino fighting arts founded by Remy Presas as a self-defense system. His goal was to create an injury-free training method as well as an effective self-defense system in order to preserve the older Arnis systems. The term Modern Arnis was created by Remy Presas’ younger brother Ernesto Presas to describe his style of Filipino martial arts; since 1999 Ernesto Presas has called his system Kombatan.

Northern Eagle Claw Kung Fu is a style of Chinese martial arts known for it’s gripping techniques the include: systems of joint locks, takedowns, and pressure point strikes that are representative of Chinese grappling known as Chin Na. The style is normally attributed to the famous patriotic Song Dynasty General Yue Fei. Popular legends state that he learned martial arts from a Shaolin Monk named Zhou Tong and later Eagle Claw to help his armies combat the invading armies of the Jin Dynasty,
